Starting with the “Gold Seal” (a National Treasure), Fukuoka City Museum offers an accessible and relaxed exhibition, utilizing abundant materials from within and outside of Japan that have strong ties to Fukuoka. The museum is filled with various kinds of facilities as well as Special Exhibition Rooms for a variety of events, an Information Service Center offering information about cultural assets and other points of interest, the Asian Experience Learning Room where visitors can actually use musical instruments and toys from Asian countries, and much, much more! The “Nihongo” (a lance that is the subject of the folk song “Kurodabushi”) is part of the permanent collection. Also on display are the swords, curved beads, and mirrors that were unearthed from the Takagi Remains.…
