Imagine a parade of 500 groups dressed in original costumes lead by three gods of fortune and their followers, all marching down the streets of modern-day Fukuoka. This is just a glimpse of what you’ll find at the Hakata Dontaku Festival! A variety of events also take place at performance stages set up around the city.
